THE AMAZING HISTORY OF CHUCK HALL
Chuck Hall was Born in Louisiana during the Very Wee Hours of the Early 1950's ... The Son of Sylvester & Ethyl Hall ... When Chuck was Delivered the Doctor Slapped him on The Ass Three Times and His Father, Sylvester, Slapped him Across the Face Once Declaring, "Thun, Therezzz No Pothable Way U Could Come from My Lointhsssss !!!"
... Not Only Was The Sky Crying, So Was Chuck.
Soon After, Chuck found himself Residing in Texas where he soon found Hunting Rattlesnakes and Playing Music as a Great Outlet and a way of Coping with the Bordom of Living amongst Miles & Miles of Nothingness, Sagebrush, Variaties of Cactus and Also such a Dysfunctional & Looney Family.
This in Itself played a Great Role in Creating his Great Passion for Playing 'Blues Guitar' and Quite Shortly Thereafter found that he was Really Quite Good At It, Churning Out 'Blues Legends' Classics & Standards on a Beat and Ragged 'Stella' guitar and using an old 'Meatbone' he Stole from the Family Dog 'Gonzo' for a Slide. The Boy was Bad To The Bone !!!
Over the Next Many Years, Chuck moved around Quite a Few Times, Eventually finding himself in Detroit Michigan and Really not Knowing for sure How The Hell he Got There let alone 'WHY' he was there. It was During this time that Chuck found he had Made a Big Mistake, And Even Though the Days of the Old 'Stella' Guitar and 'Meatbone' Slide were Long Gone, "Detroit was NOT For Me"
He was once Quoted as Saying.
He was Also Reported as saying, "It was Really Hard for me to go from a Cowboy Hat to a 'Pork Pie Hat' and I'm Not gonna Lie, Who even Needs a Hat when You've Got a 'LID' Like This, Oy,Yoy,Yoy,Yoy,Yoy !!!"
The Year was 1984 and Before he Knew it, Chuck found himself in the Phoenix Arizona Area making Lots of New Musician Friends and Soon Found that the 'Valley Of The Sun' was a Great Place to Live and Play His Own Brand of Blues. Over the Following Years Chuck soon Developed a Large Following in Arizona as well as Playing Many Tours of the Scandinavian Countries, Particularly 'Sweden' which He and The Band Still Tour at Times.

In music, as in all art forms, there are musicians and there are players
Musicians have the talent and passion for their art that distinguishes them among their peers
When you hear these musicians play, you know it's the real thing
My daddy once said, "shoe leather and the finest steak both come from the same cow,
but the minute you bite down, you know exactly which one you are eating."
And let's face it, life's too short to chew on shoe leather and listen to elevator music.
The Chuck Hall Band creates art in the form of music. The recipe they use is simple:
Start with blues that's so greasy it clogs the arteries in your ears.
Stir in generous portions of refined talent and raw passion,
add a dash of showmanship sprinkled with a touch
of salty humourand cook on high heat until it smokes. Serve steaming hot.
The result is a spicy musical feast that satisfies but always leaves you wanting more.
The chef, Chuck Hall, was raised in Louisiana and Texas listening to the likes of Lightnin' Hopkins, Muddy Waters, Freddie King, and Albert King.
Since moving to the Valley in 1984, he has become a well-known and respected musician. As a 30+ year veteran in the music business.
Chuck has played with some of the best, opening shows for Albert Collins, B.B. King, Johnny Winter, Albert King, Willie Dixon, Robert Cray, Gregg Allman, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and many others. In addition, he has written over 100 songs and more than half of the band's playlist is original material. Chuck's unique talent and uncompromising dedication to his craft have earned him accolades among fans and critics. He won "Best Blues Guitarist" in the Char's Has the Blues competition two years in a row, and his song "Young Boy" was selected Best Song of 1986.
For years considered the best blues guitarist in Arizona, Chuck continues a rigorous pace of performing, writing, and recording with the band.
The rhythm section of the band, comprised of John Willis on bass and vocals along with Ron James on drums and vocals, is rock solid and precise, and is the perfect complement to Chuck's raw, in-your-face guitar style. Both John and Ron are accomplished musicians in their own rights, but the mixture of these talents is what makes the music seem larger than life. Let the Chuck Hall Band serve you a helping of a musical Texas stew that only they know how to cook. You'll know it's the real thing from the first bite!
